New art form lifts game

A good little article downunder at the Sidney Morning Hearld introducing its readers to machinima. This part caught by eye:
ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) is also holding a Machinima Film Festival on May 6 and 7, curated and presented by Paul Marino, director of New York's annual Machinima Film Festival.
I don't know what impressed me more; the MFF Aussie style or the global momentum that Marino continues to fire. There's no Aussie rep's on the frappr map, but it looks like this may change come May. :)

YOu are right. The story has an enthusiam that's refreshing. Paul is such a trouper for machinima. Australia is in for some fun. Maybe we will be seeing more Australian machinima in the future.

My only quibble with the article is where it compares RvB to "Waiting for Godot" simply because at some points in RvB they talk about the meaning of life. That's like comparing "Desperate Housewives" to "War and Peace" because at some point they mention war. Ridiculous. Especially to anyone who know how brilliant "Waiting for Godot" really is.
